Dr. Michael Rommel

Michael E. Rommel, VMD

After working as an associate veterinarian at animal hospitals in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, LaVale, Maryland and Pasadena, Maryland, Dr. Rommel was able to fulfill his dream of owning a practice in 2001.  His professional focus is surgery and dentistry.

Dr. Rommel lives with his wife Jennifer Rommel, DVM (who has her own behavior medicine practice) and two children.  Josie, a 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Louie, a rescued 4-year-old Bichon Frise, and two rats complete the household.  In his spare time Dr. Rommel plays piano and bass guitar for Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Timothy Trigilio

Timothy S. Trigilio, DVM

Dr. T has been with Millersville Animal Hospital since 2002. He enjoys educating pet owners about preventative health care and general pet wellness, increasing the quality of life for both owners and pets.

When not working as a veterinarian, Dr. T teaches classes about home brewing and beer education for the Anne Arundel Community College, School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and Tourism.

Dr. Katherine Laning

Katherine M. Laning, DVM

Dr. Laning has been a long time resident of Anne Arundel County and had practiced at other area hospitals before joining Millersville Animal Hospital in 2007.

Her professional interests include ultrasonography and internal medicine.

Dr. Laning currently resides in Severna Park with her husband James, two childeren, two cats and two guinea pigs.  She is an active member of Bay Area Community Church.

Gary Byrne


Gary joined Millersville Animal Hospital in 2001, where his experience has become a major asset.  He has worked at several animal hospitals in and around Baltimore for nearly 30 years as a veterinary technician. Gary has raised a wide variety of animals including rabbits, emus and chickens.  He is our resident expert on rabbit care!



Melissa Deibel


Melissa came to our office in September of 2005. She has worked as a technician in Glen Burnie for several years and has been a great addition to our office. Melissa along with husband Kevin and daughter Rylee share their home with their dog Jax, cat Hannah, rabbit Peanut Butter and guinea pig Gummy Bear.



Darlene Fink


Darlene joined our staff early in 2003 when she decided a change of pace would suit her.  Looking for something new, Darlene's dedication to animal welfare led her to our hospital, where we are glad to have her.  Her love of animals is easy to see, and her dedication to pet owners has made her an outstanding addition to the hospital.  Darlene lives with her cats, Angel and Lilly, and her German Shepherd Micah.



Kim Landis


After working at Pasadena Animal Hospital for many years Kim has now been with our hospital for 8 years.  She has always enjoyed working with animals and has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Tilley.  She is married and has 3 grown children, 3 granddaughters and 3 grand-dogs!



Kristen Carpenter


Kristen's veterinary technician career began with classes at Anne Arundel Community College before starting at our hospital in 2011.  She currently splits her work between Millersville Animal Hospital and the Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine hospital in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.  As if that weren't enough she is also training to become certified to perform canine rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries.  What little spare time she has is filled with reading, scrapbooking and playing with her dog, Bam.



Rhiannon Galvan-Prather


Rhiannon joined our team in early spring of 2013 while interning for her certification class in Veterinary Assisting at Anne Arundel Community College. She has always had a great love for animals. She has had many pets through the years, and currently has a Pit Bull named Kami and a mouse named Hobson.



Jenna Dumsha


Jenna is our newest member and joined our team in the summer of 2013. Jenna's love of sciences and animals of all shapes and sizes led her to our office. She also studies at Anne Arundel Community College. When at home, she cares for her two dogs, chickens, cat, two turtles, lots of fish, and rides horses.
