Pocket Pets

Many of our clients used to wonder, "What is a pocket pet?"  But once they step into our office, it's easy to see what we're talking about.  Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Rats, Mice, Gerbils, any one of these little creatures have been found in our waiting room.  They've come in cages, shoe boxes and yes, even pockets, to see each of our doctors.

There are some very important factors to consider before bringing home such a small pet.  The most important thing to remember is the proper husbandry for your new addition.  It may seem that these little ones can take care of themselves, but the truth is, they often need more attention than larger pets.

Give us a call if your pocket pet needs some help or just a wellness exam to discuss it's diet, housing and other health concerns.  If you call the office about a pet we don't see, we will be able to refer you to a hospital nearby that will.
