Millersville
Animal Hospital is fully equipped to handle almost all of your pet's surgical needs.
Occasionally, there is a need to refer to surgical specialists who perform
specialized, difficult or rare procedures.
Our goal is to offer you and your
pet the highest quality medical care available.
The
procedures we perform most often might be considered routine, but they are
just as important as any emergency surgery, and we make every effort to
ensure that each pet is provided with the best care possible.
The
surgeries we perform most often are:
Spaying
and
Neutering
--
There
are many benefits to having your dog, cat, ferret, rabbit or guinea pig spayed or neutered. We can
explain the health benefits these procedures provide your pet, in
addition to preventing unnecessary litters, read on or call the office
for details.
Declawing
-- Many
people have strong opinions about this surgery, but it is extremely
safe, and has prevented many cats from being given up by frustrated
owners.
We
also perform many other types of surgeries. There are far too many
to list here, but if your pet has a medical problem that requires surgery,
chances are we can help. If we can't do the procedure here, we can
put you in touch with a specialist who can assist you.
Please call our office for information on consultation, scheduling and
pricing of
these procedures. We require that all surgical patients be seen
by our doctors at least 24 hours prior to surgery. If your pet
is new to our office, we must complete a pre-surgical exam BEFORE
scheduling a surgery date. If we have seen your pet before, we
require the animal to be seen by our doctors within one year of
scheduling for the surgery date.
